Filmoclip and La Tijera festivals announce call for entries

The Filmoteca de la Región de Murcia ‘Francisco Rabal’ has launched the second edition of Filmoclip, an initiative designed to bridge the audiovisual and music sectors. The program seeks music videos from Murcian filmmakers to be projected on the big screen. The upcoming exhibition will feature three sessions: a documentary on November 7, a session focused on artist Ruto Neón on November 18, and a showcase of selected music videos on November 21. The deadline for submissions is November 9, with works limited to six minutes.

Separately, the La Tijera – Festival de Cortos Villa de La Orotava has opened registration for its 21st edition, scheduled for November 9–14. The festival accepts short films up to 30 minutes from Spanish nationals or residents. It features both an official and a Canary Islands section, along with an ‘off’ section for additional screenings. Prizes include €2,000 for first place, €1,000 for second, and €500 for third and best Canary Islands short.
