Final “Birre d’Autore” Event Highlights Science and Craft Beer in Novoli, Italy
The fourth edition of the “Birre d’Autore” series concluded on 29 July at the Polo Biblio‑Museale in Novoli (Lecce). Organized by the Associazione Culturale Fucina Sociale and Sulle Vie della Birra, the final meeting explored how scientific discoveries have reshaped modern brewing. The talk was led by archaeologist and Unionbirrai Beer Taster Aristodemo Pellegrino, who was joined by master brewer Massimiliano Fioretti of Birrificio Baff. Fioretti, who holds a degree in Nanobiotecnologie and Biotecnologie Mediche, discussed the impact of research on yeast, fermentation and flavor.
