Finland weather forecast predicts unstable weekend with rain and wind
Finland is experiencing unstable weather conditions characterized by frequent low-pressure systems moving across the country. Meteorologists predict continued unsettled weather through the weekend, with rain showers and wind gusts expected in various regions.
In the southern and western parts of the country, rain showers are anticipated, with a slight possibility of thunderstorms during the night between Friday and Saturday. By Saturday, the focus of precipitation is expected to shift toward the north, leaving only Northern Lapland largely unaffected. However, a new rain area approaching from the southwest is expected to move through the country during the weekend, bringing stronger southwest winds and potential heavy gusts, particularly in the south and across wider areas on Sunday.
Temperatures are expected to range between 7 and 17 degrees Celsius during the day, with nighttime lows between 5 and 15 degrees. In Lapland, frost may occur at night. This year's September temperatures have remained within normal ranges, unlike the record-breaking warmth seen in 2023 and 2024.
