Finnish entrepreneur poll shows rising support for Finns Party

A recent poll by Suomen Yrittäjät shows shifting political preferences among Finnish entrepreneurs. While the National Coalition Party (Kokoomus) remains the most popular among business representatives at 28%, its support has declined from 39% over the past year.

The Finns Party (Perussuomalaiset) has seen a rise in popularity, reaching 22% among SME representatives, up from 19% in August. Mikael Pentikäinen, CEO of Suomen Yrittäjät, suggests that Finance Minister Riikka Purra’s economic policy—focusing on balancing public finances without increasing taxes on work or entrepreneurship—is driving this growth.

Regarding future leadership, Riikka Purra is the most favored candidate to become the next Prime Minister, with 24% support. She is followed by Petteri Orpo at 15%, Antti Kaikkonen at 9%, and Antti Lindtman at 7%.
