Fiorenzuola Velodrome Launches 29th “6 Giorni delle Rose” Track Cycling Event
From Monday 20 July, the Attilio Pavesi Velodrome in Fiorenzuola, Italy, will host the 29th edition of the Gran Premi Internazionali di Fiorenzuola – the “6 Giorni delle Rose” white‑rose track cycling series. Over the next six days, 22 UCI International Grand Prix events will award valuable ranking points that determine qualification for the World Championships and the Olympic Games.
Nearly 180 athletes from 28 nations, representing all continents, will compete in endurance and sprint disciplines. Olympic Madison champions Chiara Consonni and Vittoria Guazzini have been assigned the top two starter numbers, while three‑time Olympic medalist Simone Consonni leads the men’s field. The opening evening features Under‑23 finals in points race, scratch, elimination, and American race, as well as the return of elite Keirin and sprint races. A live performance by the Pontolliese marching band and majorettes will accompany the competition, and admission to the venue is free for the entire event.
