Fire destroys churrascaria in Novo Repartimento, Pará

On Sunday 28 June 2026, a large fire engulfed a 300‑square‑metre churrascaria on Avenida Beija‑Flor in the centre of Novo Repartimento, a municipality in the southeastern part of the Brazilian state of Pará.

Residents and staff managed to pull tables and chairs and, together with a municipal water‑truck, contained the blaze before fire‑fighters from Tucuruí arrived. The fire department confirmed the structure was a total loss; no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains unknown and will be investigated by local authorities.
