Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo, launched on September 17, 2026, as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. The tactical RPG features a narrative centered on four protagonists—Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda—who navigate interconnected paths to prevent the demon god Balor from destroying the world.

Critics have responded positively, with the game earning an 89 Metacritic score, placing it alongside Fire Emblem: Three Houses in series rankings. The gameplay introduces new mechanics such as Blaze Arts, firearms, and a revised combat system where traditional weapon triangle rules are less rigid.

Due to the game's structure, which allows players to switch between character routes at will, developers implemented a single save file system to prevent progression complications. A launch update (version 1.0.1) has already been released to improve the user experience and add special weapons found throughout the Dagdan Empire.
