Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave tops Japanese sales charts

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave has debuted at number one on the Japanese software sales charts, selling over 125,000 units. The title is an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2.

As a new mainline entry from Intelligent Systems, the game features an ambitious narrative involving the protagonist Eshmel, who is revived by the Progenitor God Sothis to stop the demon lord Balor. The gameplay structure allows players to select individual storylines and campaigns for various characters, such as Cai, Theodora, Leda, and Dietrich, with the ability to switch between them.

In the hardware market, the Nintendo Switch 2 continues to lead Japanese sales, with total units exceeding 6.3 million. The PlayStation 5 follows in second place, while the original Nintendo Switch holds the third position.
