Fire near Konjic, Bosnia triggers rockfalls on M-17 highway, damages vehicles

A fire above the settlement of Kanjina near Konjic in Bosnia and Herzegovina spread across inaccessible terrain, causing high temperatures and rockfalls onto the M-17 main road.

The falling rocks damaged several personal vehicles and created a serious safety risk for motorists, who have been urged to reduce speed and follow official instructions. The Bosnian Armed Forces deployed a helicopter and an Air Tractor aircraft to conduct aerial firefighting, supporting efforts to bring the blaze under control. Multiple fires are active in the Konjic area, with the situation above Kanjina described as the most severe.
