Fire Point unveils FP-9 ballistic missile and expands Danish production
Ukrainian defense company Fire Point has unveiled a full-scale mockup of its new FP-9 ballistic missile at the DALO Industry Days exhibition in Herning, Denmark. The FP-9 is designed with a range of 855 kilometers, a speed of 2,200 meters per second, and a payload capacity of up to 800 kg. The company also showcased the smaller FP-7 missile, which has a 200-kilometer range and a 150 kg payload.
In addition to missile development, Fire Point is expanding its manufacturing footprint with a new facility in Denmark. The company’s subsidiary, Fire Point Rocket Technologies, is constructing a solid rocket fuel and component plant near the Skrydstrup airbase in South Jutland. The project’s estimated value has risen from 50 million to over 150 million euros. This facility marks the first Ukrainian defense production site established on NATO territory, intended to provide a secure manufacturing environment away from Russian airstrikes while integrating with European supply chains.
According to CEO Iryna Tretyak, the first test launch for the new ballistic missile is scheduled for autumn 2026, with plans to produce approximately 12 experimental units.
