Firefighters Respond to CO Alarm in Austria and Speaker Fire in German Youth Center

On 6 July 2026 the Felixdorf fire department in Austria was dispatched after a carbon‑monoxide detector sounded in a single‑family house. A respirator crew measured low CO levels in the basement, shut down the heating system and ventilated the building before the incident was declared over after about one hour.

Later the same morning, firefighters in Mönchengladbach, Germany, were called to a youth centre after staff reported light smoke and a strong odor. A respirator team entered, found minor smoke and traced the cause to a speaker box that had ignited. The fire had self‑extinguished before arrival. The building was ventilated with a high‑power fan, no injuries occurred, and the street was temporarily closed while police began an investigation.
