Fires reported in Cali, Colombia and Colón, Panama

Two separate fire incidents were reported in Colombia and Panama.

In Cali, Colombia, a fire destroyed three out of four bedrooms in a single-story house in the San Cayetano neighborhood. The building, constructed using a mix of bahareque (cane, wood, and mud) and masonry, allowed the flames to spread rapidly. Firefighters reported that the property was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and no injuries were recorded.

In the Colón Free Zone of Panama, a major fire broke out in several warehouses located in the France Field sector. Emergency responders faced difficulties reaching the site due to heavy traffic congestion caused by workers leaving the area following a recent earthquake. Firefighters utilized multiple extinction trucks and cisterns to combat the blaze and manage structural temperatures. While explosions were heard within the facilities, there were no immediate reports of missing persons, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
