Fismuler Opens First Restaurant Outside Spain in Lisbon

The Spanish restaurant group Fismuler, owned by the fourth‑generation La Ancha family, celebrated a decade in Madrid by launching its first venue beyond Spain. The new space is located inside the ME Lisbon hotel, the inaugural property of the Meliá group in the Portuguese capital.

Chef Nino Redruello, who oversees the Fismuler menu, leads the kitchen together with resident chef Nuno Dias. The concept emphasizes local Portuguese producers while retaining signature dishes from the Madrid flagship, such as the pork escalope. The restaurant features a modern, minimalistic interior with natural light, offering two entrances on Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo and within the hotel.

Redruello, who has worked in renowned kitchens like Arzak and El Bulli, said the partnership with Meliá provided the “definitive boost” to realize the project, aligning with the brand’s philosophy of product‑focused gastronomy.
