Fitness and health events held in Punta Arenas

Various community health and fitness initiatives recently took place in Punta Arenas, Chile. Over one hundred women participated in a recreational event at the CORDENAP gymnasium to promote breast cancer prevention and early detection. Organized under the “Súmate con Energía por la Prevención” agreement between the Magallanes Health Service and the National Petroleum Company (ENAP), the session included Zumba classes and access to the Palpa device, an educational tool for breast self-examination.

Additionally, the II Expo Fitness, organized by the Municipal Sports Foundation and Sayes Runil Fitness Club, drew more than 300 participants to the Hotel Casino Dreams del Estrecho. The event featured diverse disciplines such as Body Combat, Zumba, Strong, and Muay Thai, including a specialized Zumba Gold session for seniors. Local authorities highlighted the growing community interest in fitness and the importance of physical activity for healthy lifestyles.
