Fiumicino and Vinci announce final open days for electronic ID cards

The municipalities of Fiumicino and Vinci are holding special, no‑appointment days to let residents replace their paper identity cards with the new electronic Carta d’Identità Elettronica before the paper cards lose validity on 3 August 2026.

Fiumicino will operate extra sessions on six dates in June, opening at 9 a.m. at the main town hall and the Palidoro delegation, with up to 60 electronic IDs issued per day. Applicants must bring their old card, tax code, a recent passport‑style photo and pay €21.95‑22 by card or cash.

Vinci’s final open day is Saturday 30 May at its Sovigliana branch, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., offering the same service under identical documentation and fee requirements. Both initiatives aim to accelerate the transition to the electronic ID system for local residents.
