Fiumicino to host Blue Planet Economy Expoforum in October

The Blue Planet Economy Expoforum, organized by Fiera Roma, will take place in Fiumicino from October 21 to 24, 2026. For the first time, the event will be held at Piazzale Molinari, a strategic location for the maritime and logistics sectors.

Approximately 36,000 businesses in the Lazio region operate within the Blue Economy. The forum aims to connect businesses, institutions, investors, and researchers to discuss coastal logistics, blue tourism, port development, and sustainable shipbuilding. The event will run alongside ‘Fiumicino in Blu’ and include the MedIt Forum, which focuses on the Mediterranean's role as a commercial and energetic hub between Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

Other regional cultural and economic initiatives include the ‘Intermittenze’ festival in Riva del Garda, the ‘Raccontare il tempo’ history festival across several municipalities, and the Green Loop Festival in Ancona, which focuses on circular economy and sustainability.
