Five bodies recovered from clandestine grave in Atotonilco de Tula

Authorities in Hidalgo recovered five bodies from a clandestine grave in the locality of Texas, within the municipality of Atotonilco de Tula. The discovery was made during an operation led by the Hidalgo State Commission for the Search of Persons (CBEH) in coordination with the State Attorney General's Office (PGJEH).

State officials stated that forensic and ministerial procedures are underway to identify the victims and determine the circumstances of their deaths. The Hidalgo government has pledged to continue investigations to ensure the dignified treatment of the victims and the restitution of remains to their families. Authorities are maintaining communication with families and search collectives as the investigation progresses.
