Five Guys accelerates restaurant expansion in Spain

Five Guys is accelerating its expansion in Spain, aiming to reach a steady pace of six to eight new restaurant openings per year. The American burger chain currently operates 45 company-owned locations in the country, making Spain its fourth largest market globally, following the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

Daniel Agromayor, CEO of Five Guys in Spain and Portugal, noted that the pace of openings in recent years was below expectations. Following team restructuring to ensure more regular growth, the company expects to reach 50 establishments in Spain by next year.

Despite a slower rate of new openings recently, the company reported significant financial growth, with turnover exceeding 100 million euros. Agromayor attributed this success to increased customer traffic at existing locations, noting that the company's growth has significantly outpaced the broader market average.
