Five Italian companies join U.S. space acceleration program

Five Italian companies have traveled to New Mexico to participate in the final phase of Rendezvous Italy, a space acceleration program. Managed by the Brindisi Aerospace Technology District (Dta) in collaboration with the American Q Station, the initiative is promoted by the U.S. Space Force and the U.S. Air Force.

The program aims to facilitate the entry of European companies into the United States space ecosystem and market. This marks the first acceleration program promoted by the American defense sector to encourage the acquisition of European space technologies, offering participants direct access to potential customers, investors, and industrial partners within the Space Valley region, which spans Colorado, New Mexico, and West Texas.

The selection process began in the spring of 2026, receiving 59 applications from 11 countries. Out of the eight companies selected for the inaugural edition, five are Italian. The program concludes in Albuquerque, where the companies will present their technologies and projects to foster new collaborative opportunities.
