FK Sarajevo defeats BSK Banja Luka 1-0 for first seasonal win

FK Sarajevo secured their first victory of the season with a 1-0 win against BSK Banja Luka in the third round of the WWin league. Due to the unusable condition of their home stadium, Asim Ferhatović Hase, Sarajevo played the match at Bilino Polje in Zenica.

Bartol Barišić scored the decisive goal in the 34th minute with a header following a cross from Filip Živković. Although Sarajevo attempted to extend their lead in the second half, a goal by Ivan Šarić was disallowed by VAR due to a foul at the start of the play. BSK Banja Luka had opportunities to equalize, notably through Ognjen Radošević in the 70th minute, but goalkeeper Ivan Banić maintained the lead.

Following the match, Sarajevo coach Zoran Zekić expressed mixed emotions, noting that while the team showed strength in the first half, they struggled with rhythm and decisiveness in the second half. He also highlighted the difficulties caused by playing away from their home ground and the lack of a consistent competitive rhythm due to recent squad changes and match postponements.
