FLAIR launches Hong Kong’s first Embodied AI Applications Hub
The Hong Kong Industrial Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Centre (FLAIR), an entity under the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), has launched the Embodied AI International Applications Hub. This marks Hong Kong’s first platform dedicated to the training, validation, and real-world deployment of humanoid robotics and embodied AI technologies.
The Hub is designed to serve as an innovation infrastructure for technology development, model adaptation, and scenario testing. By providing real-world application environments, the initiative aims to transition embodied AI solutions from laboratory research to large-scale industrial use, supporting Hong Kong’s goal of advancing new industrialization.
The inauguration was led by Professor Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the HKSAR Government, and Sunny Tan, Chairman of the HKPC. In its first phase, the Hub is collaborating with seven technology partners and eight international scenario partners.
