Danilo undergoes surgery for jaw fracture sustained during Flamengo match

Flamengo defender Danilo has undergone surgery to repair a jaw fracture sustained during a recent match against Fluminense at the Maracanã. The injury occurred following a collision with the opposing goalkeeper.

Following the procedure, Danilo shared updates with supporters, noting that his face is currently held together by “plates and screws.” While he has begun his recovery process and visited the club's training center, there is currently no definitive timeline for his return to the pitch. The club is managing his rehabilitation with caution to ensure he reaches full recovery.

His absence comes at a critical time for Flamengo as the team prepares for a decisive Copa Libertadores semifinal against Estudiantes.
