FlashLabs launches Data Cloak to protect AI privacy
FlashLabs has launched ‘Data Cloak’, a new feature for OrcaRouter, an AI inference gateway developed by Continuum AI and distributed exclusively in Japan. The tool aims to protect personal identifiable information (PII) by replacing sensitive data—such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, and credit card details—with realistic synthetic data before it reaches AI models. Once the model generates a response, the system automatically restores the original values for the user, ensuring task quality is maintained without exposing real data to the model.
Separately, the Orca AI Incident Archive, an open database tracking real-world AI agent security incidents, reported a record high of 75 incidents in September 2026. This represents a significant increase from the previous monthly high of 31 incidents in June 2026. The archive, which tracks accidents, policy shifts, research, and vulnerabilities, currently contains 379 total records, highlighting the growing frequency of security-related developments in the AI sector.
