Zwolle apartment fire sparked by smoldering pillow

Firefighters responded to a report of smoke at an apartment on Meppelerstraatweg in Zwolle. The fire originated from a pillow that had begun to smolder, producing smoke but no open flames.

Residents of adjacent apartments were temporarily evacuated as a precaution while the fire brigade extinguished the smoldering pillow, ventilated the stairwell and inspected surrounding units. No injuries were reported and the incident was contained without further damage.
