Flavio Bolsonaro faces criticism over religious rally and party alliance talks
State deputy Gilberto Cattani (PL) said Senator Flavio Bolsonaro’s appearance at the Marcha pra Jesus in Cuiabá was not a partisan act, noting the senator was invited by the event’s organizers and had no formal connection to the PL directory. Cattani emphasized, "Não é uma viagem do partido. Eu nem fui convidado..." highlighting the political sensitivity of mixing religious gatherings with electoral outreach.
In a separate dispute, former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro called for ending the alliance between the PL and the Novo party after Minas Gerais ex‑governor Romeu Zema criticized Flavio’s ties to businessman Daniel Vorcaro. Eduardo wrote on social media, "Que postura vagabunda, critica o Flavio apenas porque ele queria estar no lugar do Flavio. Por mim rompia geral com o Partido Novo," suggesting the criticism could strain the broader conservative coalition ahead of upcoming elections.
