Fleet Operators and E‑Scooter Makers Accelerate Shift to Sustainable Transport

Renewable diesel is presented as a relatively simple transition for diesel‑powered fleets, offering lower carbon intensity while using existing fueling infrastructure, though it costs more than conventional diesel. Renewable natural gas (RNG) is highlighted as suitable for class 4 and 5 cab‑and‑chassis vehicles, costing about half of diesel but requiring dedicated fueling stations, especially for fast‑fill needs. Hydrogen is deemed currently unviable for most fleets due to high cost and complexity.

The electric scooter segment is experiencing rapid growth as rising fuel prices, environmental concerns and urban congestion push consumers toward cleaner mobility. Manufacturers are investing heavily in battery improvements, intelligent vehicle systems and quality assurance to deliver longer range, faster charging and reliable performance. E‑scooters offer lower operating costs, reduced emissions and minimal maintenance, making them attractive for daily commuters, students and professionals in cities worldwide.
