Flooding in Iran triggers emergency response and missing persons reports

Heavy rainfall and flooding have triggered emergency responses across several Iranian provinces. In Golestan Province, intense precipitation has caused severe urban flooding and river overflows. Authorities in Minudasht reported that two citizens are currently missing due to the floods, and search operations are underway. Rainfall measurements in the region reached up to 78mm in Sasang.

In Kermanshah Province, the Red Crescent Society has declared full readiness to combat potential climate-related hazards, including the El Niño phenomenon. Emergency teams have conducted search and rescue drills, tested specialized equipment such as sludge pumps and water motors, and prepared relief supplies to manage potential flooding, heavy snow, or road accidents.
