Florencio Varela inaugurates San Jorge Primary Health Care Center

The San Jorge Primary Health Care Center (CAPS) has been inaugurated in the municipality of Florencio Varela. Developed through a collaboration between the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services and the Ministry of Health, the 715 m² facility is designed to strengthen the local public health network.

The center features 14 consultation rooms covering general medicine and specialties such as pediatrics, gynecology, obstetrics, and dentistry. It also includes nursing stations, a vaccination area, a pharmacy with storage, administrative offices, and a multi-purpose hall. For emergency response, the facility is equipped with a SAME sector, a shock room, an observation room, and medical staff dormitories.

This project is part of a broader provincial strategy to enhance local healthcare, with additional centers being constructed in La Esmeralda, Ingeniero Allan, and La Rotonda. The new facility aims to provide immediate medical access, including prevention and specialized consultations, directly within the San Jorge neighborhood to reduce the need for residents to travel to regional hospitals.
