Florentin Petre explains his exit from Dinamo Bucharest
Assistant coach Florentin Petre broke his silence about leaving FC Dinamo Bucharest, confirming that his departure was linked to head coach Zeljko Kopic’s exit. Petre said a clause in his contract required him to resign once Kopic’s contract ended and that he did not anticipate the coach’s decision. He added that the incoming manager will bring a new technical staff, making it impossible for him to stay.
Petre expressed his willingness to continue working with the Croatian coach in the future, but said no new role is currently set. He dismissed rumours of a move to UTA Arad, stating, “There was no discussion with me about going to UTA Arad.” He is now on holiday and awaiting the next opportunity.
The statements were made in June 2026, shortly after Kopic announced his departure.
