East Nusa Tenggara earthquake relief efforts intensify across Indonesia

Following a major earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), the Indonesian government and various organizations have launched extensive relief operations. The Indonesian Navy has deployed the KRI Teluk Parigi-539 with 50 tons of logistics and the KRI dr. Soeharso-990 hospital ship to provide medical services and oxygen to victims.

Government ministries are actively responding: the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) is intensifying aid through its disaster task force, while the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has established three response posts in Manggarai, East Manggarai, and Nagekeo. The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection is distributing 30 tons of specialized aid for women and children and establishing a service hub (Pos SAPA) to support vulnerable groups.

Educational recovery is also a priority, with the Ministry of Education focusing on revitalizing damaged schools in Nagekeo and Ngada. Financial support includes the disbursement of unexpected expenditure funds (BTT) to assist local governments. Private and community sectors are contributing significantly, including TelkomGroup, which has provided Rp1.3 billion in aid, and the West Papua Flobamora Big House Association, which raised approximately Rp167.6 million for Flores victims.
