More than 5,000 people have been displaced from their homes, seeking refuge in public sports centers and other evacuation points. Local authorities, including the Local Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), have identified an urgent need for essential supplies such as tents, food, clean water, medicine, blankets, and generators.

Structural damage is extensive. Reports indicate that approximately 914 homes suffered serious damage, and over 100 public facilities—including 93 schools and 36 health centers—have been severely affected. The earthquake also caused landslides that blocked major roads and disrupted electricity, water, and telecommunications services.

While a tsunami warning was initially issued for coastal areas, it was later withdrawn by meteorological authorities. More than 340 aftershocks have been recorded in the aftermath. The Indonesian government has declared a state of emergency in the affected zone to facilitate relief efforts.
