Florianópolis emerges as innovation hub following Startup Summit 2026

The Startup Summit 2026 in Florianópolis, Brazil, attracted over 10,000 participants and approximately 200 speakers. The event featured hundreds of startups and international delegations, resulting in investment intentions totaling roughly R$ 395.5 million. Approximately 250 funds participated in the summit, which also generated an estimated direct local economic impact of R$ 36.3 million.

In discussions regarding the city's development, entrepreneur Moishe Mana and former Tourism Minister Vinicius Lummertz highlighted Florianópolis's potential as a global hub for innovation and art. They emphasized the importance of urban transformation that integrates housing, work, culture, and business, while maintaining local identity and fostering economic integration between Latin America and North America.
