Florida I-4 Exit to Walt Disney World Permanently Split into Two Ramps

The Florida Department of Transportation’s Moving I‑4 Forward program has permanently reconfigured Interstate 4 eastbound’s Exit 62 at World Drive and State Road 417. The single exit is now divided into two separate ramps: Exit 62A, which directs traffic to World Drive southbound, and Exit 62B, which leads to World Drive northbound and SR 417 northbound. Visitors heading to Walt Disney World are advised to use Exit 62B, as the northbound route provides access to the resort’s theme parks and hotels, while Exit 62A serves off‑property destinations and is less convenient for park guests.

The ramp split is a standalone state project and is unrelated to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District’s ongoing World Drive North widening effort, which has been delayed to a projected late‑2027 completion. The change aims to streamline traffic flow for the millions of annual Disney visitors traveling the I‑4 corridor.
