Florida TikToker Mark Asea arrested for alleged cybercrime
Mark Stephen Asea, a 36-year-old Florida TikTok creator who identifies as a “demonologist” and “Grey Hat Hacker,” has been arrested on felony charges of offense against computer users. Asea, a resident of Port St. Lucie, was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail on September 30 with a bond set at $35,000.
The arrest follows the reopening of a criminal case that had previously been dismissed in May. Prosecutors have filed new charges alleging that Asea gained unauthorized access to electronic devices and shared private information belonging to women in his TikTok videos.
According to police affidavits, two women reported that their personal data surfaced in Asea’s content. One woman alleged that Asea used remote access—originally granted for technical assistance—to place a virus on her computer, allowing him to view her information without consent. She also reported that he allegedly shared a private photograph from her Telegram messages.
A second woman reported that Asea obtained her password and details regarding her recent online purchases, despite the password being shared only within a closed TikTok group chat of which he was not a member. Investigators also noted allegations that Asea used mobile phone GPS data to track a victim's location.
