Flávio Bolsonaro faces controversies at PL pre‑candidacy launch in Goiás

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, a pre‑candidate for the 2026 Brazilian presidency, led the Liberal Party (PL) launch of pre‑candidacies in Goiânia, Goiás, on Saturday, June 27. The event, held at the Tatersal of the Expo Park, was accompanied by a religious walk in Trindade the previous evening.

During the launch, party members reported several incidents. Federal deputy Magda Mofatto said she was temporarily blocked from entering the venue, while Novo party senatorial hopeful Humberto Teófilo claimed his name was removed from the speech list. PL national president Valdemar Costa Neto also said he was prohibited from speaking by Flávio Bolsonaro. The disputes were widely shared on social media, adding tension to the party’s regional campaign efforts.
