Flávio Bolsonaro faces new STF inquiry over money laundering suspicions

Senator and presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro is the subject of a new investigation by the Federal Police, which has been forwarded to the Supreme Federal Court (STF). The inquiry, assigned to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, investigates suspected money laundering, foreign exchange evasion, and financial irregularities linked to the betting sector.

The investigation focuses on the relationship between Bolsonaro and lawyer Willer Tomaz. Federal Police reports indicate that Bolsonaro was identified as a ‘master user’ of a bank account belonging to Alcazar Holding, an offshore company owned by Tomaz. Investigators also analyzed telemetric data from Tomaz’s cell phone, which contained communications and documents related to the senator.

Additionally, the Federal Police are examining large-scale financial movements involving Tomaz, who reportedly moved approximately R$ 5 billion through online betting platforms in 2025. The probe also touches upon potential connections to former Rio de Janeiro Governor Cláudio Castro and former federal deputy Alexandre Ramagem, as well as investigations into alleged fraud involving the National Social Security Institute (INSS).
