Flávio Bolsonaro faces investigations into BRB loan and film financing

The Federal Police (PF) have launched multiple investigations involving Brazilian Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. One major inquiry focuses on a R$ 3.1 million loan provided by Banco de Brasília (BRB) in 2021 for the purchase of a R$ 6 million mansion in Brasília. Investigators are examining whether the loan terms were preferential, noting the 3.71% annual interest rate was significantly lower than the BRB average of 4.85% at the time. The loan was issued while the bank was led by Paulo Henrique Costa, who was later arrested in connection with fraud involving Daniel Vorcaro.

Separately, the PF is investigating financial links between Flávio Bolsonaro and banker Daniel Vorcaro regarding the production of the film 'Dark Horse,' a biopic about Jair Bolsonaro. Recovered messages suggest discussions regarding large sums of money, including a potential 24 million dollar contribution, and concerns over payment delays to the film's crew.

Additionally, Flávio Bolsonaro has petitioned the Supreme Federal Court (STF) to investigate federal deputies Lindbergh Farias and Rogério Correia, alleging they committed slander through public statements against him.
