Fly2Galicia announces new flight routes from Santiago de Compostela

Fly2Galicia, a new Spanish airline, has announced its initial flight network starting from Santiago de Compostela. The airline plans to operate 17 weekly frequencies to eight destinations across Spain and Europe, including Brussels, Prague, Munich, Venice, Milan, Zaragoza, Alicante, and Granada.

The company intends to use Boeing 737-800 aircraft and plans to open ticket sales on August 18, with an inaugural flight scheduled for December 1. Domestic fares are expected to start at 19 euros, while intra-European routes will start at 39 euros.

However, the project faces significant skepticism regarding its viability. The company, registered as Aviation and Mobility Services Group S.L., currently holds a travel agency registration rather than a commercial airline license, meaning it must lease aircraft for its operations. Furthermore, the project's promoter, Gueorgui Iavorov Popov, previously attempted a similar venture in Mallorca in 2022 through Alpha Tour Europe, which failed to launch or record any activity.
