Fly2Galicia to launch low-cost flights from Santiago de Compostela

Fly2Galicia, a new low-cost airline, is set to begin operations on December 1, using Santiago de Compostela Airport in northwest Spain as its primary base. The carrier will initially operate 17 weekly flights across eight destinations.

Domestic Spanish routes include connections to Alicante, Granada, and Zaragoza. International destinations consist of Brussels, Munich, Milan, Prague, and Venice. The airline plans to utilize an Airbus A320 for its initial operations, with potential fleet expansion planned for the 2027 summer season.

The airline is entering the market with a low-cost strategy, offering domestic fares starting at €19. International fares vary by destination, with flights to Milan and Brussels starting at €39, while routes to Prague and Venice start at €49. Unlike many competitors in the low-cost segment, the initial fares include a cabin bag of up to 8 kg and a personal item. The launch follows reports of reduced connectivity in the Galicia region due to shifts in presence by other carriers like Ryanair.
