Flybondi resumes operations as Argentine lawmakers demand details on suspension

Argentina's low‑cost carrier Flybondi has restarted flights after a suspension that began on 2 July 2026. The airline, now backed by a USD 70 million investment from COC Global Enterprise, returned to service with two Boeing 737‑800 aircraft and plans to expand its fleet.

The suspension prompted a parliamentary inquiry led by Deputy Roxana Monzón, who asked the executive branch to provide detailed information on Flybondi's operational, financial and labour conditions over the past year. The request seeks data on flight cancellations, ticket sales made during the shutdown, inspections by the aviation authority, passenger compensation, and any bankruptcy or labour disputes.

Flybondi's new management also accused the former leadership of financial irregularities, launching an internal audit and legal actions. The former CEO Mauricio Sana and other senior officials have been removed as part of the restructuring effort.
