Flying Blue introduces tiered award ticket pricing

Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue loyalty program is introducing a new tiered structure for award ticket redemptions on flights operated by Air France and KLM. Starting September 8, members will be able to choose from three fare bundles: Light, Standard, and Flex.

The new Light awards will offer the lowest mileage prices but will exclude several traditional benefits. In Economy and Premium Economy, Light fares will not include checked baggage, advance seat selection, ticket changes, refunds, or lounge access. Standard and Flex tiers will offer increased flexibility, including checked bags and refund options, for additional mileage costs.

These changes apply specifically to Air France and KLM operated flights; pricing for partner airlines remains unchanged. Existing tickets will be honored under current conditions, and the new tiers do not apply to La Premiere awards.
