FMO provides 30 million euros in green financing to Garanti BBVA Leasing

The Dutch entrepreneur development bank FMO has provided 30 million euros in green financing to Garanti BBVA Leasing to support green investments and the climate transition in Türkiye.

The five-year term loan is intended to fund renewable energy, energy efficiency, and other sustainable assets across the country. The funding aims to help businesses invest in technologies that increase resource efficiency and support Türkiye’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

This financing is expected to expand Garanti BBVA Leasing’s green asset portfolio and provide Turkish companies, particularly SMEs, with access to long-term foreign currency financing. The move also aligns with Garanti BBVA’s commitment to provide 3.5 trillion TL in sustainable financing by 2029.
