FNV Finance issues ultimatum to ABN Amro over collective labor agreement
The FNV Finance union has issued an ultimatum to ABN Amro following a deadlock in collective labor agreement negotiations. The ultimatum is set to expire on November 3 at 9:00 AM.
Key points of contention include wage increases and hybrid work policies. The bank has proposed two wage increases of 1.5% over two years, while the union is demanding an annual 3% increase plus an additional 250 euros per month for every employee to compensate for inflation.
Disagreements also persist regarding office attendance. ABN Amro reportedly wants to mandate that employees spend half of their working time in the office, whereas the union seeks to maintain existing team and individual arrangements, with a maximum of one mandatory office day per week. The union also criticized the bank's stance on a generation pact and a proposed valuation premium.
