Foivos Tsiklias resigns as SYRIZA deputy spokesperson

Foivos Tsiklias announced his resignation from the position of deputy spokesperson of SYRIZA–Progressive Alliance, saying he could not defend a political plan that "does not answer the needs of many" and that the party is turning inward.

In his resignation letter he criticised SYRIZA for choosing "paricharakosi" (self‑destruction) and stated he does not wish to be part of a new division, urging unity and a progressive alternative to the "dystopia" of Prime Minister Mitsotakis.
