Folgore Paratroopers win Italian Indoor Vertical Formation Skydiving title

Paratroopers from the Italian Army’s Folgore Paratroopers Brigade have won the national title in the Indoor Vertical Formation Skydiving (IVFS) specialty. The competition took place on October 2 and 3 at the Aero Gravity wind tunnel in Pero, Milan.

The winning team, based in Pisa, consisted of four athletes: Marshal Alessandro Binello, Marshal Andrea Cardinali, First Graduate Marco Soro, and Graduate Federico Allamprese. The team secured the title with a total of 289 points.

In this discipline, athletes perform a series of vertical flight formations and grips within a wind tunnel across ten 35-second rounds. The technical jury scores the correctly executed figures to determine the final results. This national victory serves as a significant step toward the 2027 World Championships, scheduled to be held in Munich, Germany.
