Folgore Paratroopers Brigade activities

Overview

The Folgore Paratroopers Brigade has been involved in both commemorative and competitive activities in Italy.

In October 2026, the brigade participated in national commemorative events organized by the Associazione Nazionale Paracadutisti d’Italia (ANPd’I). These events included a ceremony in Legnago involving the 3rd Triveneto Group and the brigade commander, Brigadier General Dario Paduano. Additionally, the ‘Staffetta degli Ideali’ (Relay of Ideals) was scheduled to begin in Tarquinia, featuring a torch relay from the San Lorenzo Monumental Cemetery toward Pistoia to prepare for the Folgore Brigade Festival.

In a separate sporting achievement, members of the brigade secured the national title in the Indoor Vertical Formation Skydiving (IVFS) specialty. Following a competition held in Milan, a four-person team from Pisa earned 289 points, marking a significant milestone toward the 2027 World Championships in Munich, Germany.
