Milan announces new art prizes and 2027 MiArt Milano details

Milan is preparing for a major expansion of its contemporary art scene through the 2027 edition of MiArt Milano and the 11th edition of Milano Art Week. Scheduled for April 9–11, 2027, at Allianz MiCo, MiArt Milano aims to establish a permanent cultural and commercial connection with the city and the international art system.

To support the local creative ecosystem, Fondazione Fiera Milano has announced a new 50,000 euro prize dedicated to mid-career Italian artists. This initiative complements the annual 100,000 euro contribution to the MiArt Acquisition Fund, which has built a collection of over 170 works valued at approximately 3 million euros.

Coinciding with the fair, Milano Art Week will take place from April 5 to 11, 2027. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Milan and coordinated by Arte Totale ETS, will involve galleries, independent spaces, and institutions across the city. A call for proposals for exhibitions and projects will be open from December 10, 2026, to February 26, 2027.
