Milan contemporary art event planning

Overview

Milan is preparing for a significant expansion of its contemporary art programming through the 2027 edition of MiArt Milano and the 11th edition of Milano Art Week. Both events are scheduled to take place in April 2027, with Milano Art Week running from April 5 to April 11.

To support the local creative ecosystem, Fondazione Fiera Milano has announced a new 50,000 euro prize for mid-career Italian artists. This initiative joins the existing 100,000 euro annual contribution to the MiArt Acquisition Fund, which manages a collection of over 170 works valued at approximately 3 million euros.

Milano Art Week is organized by the Municipality of Milan and coordinated by Arte Totale ETS, an association including ArtsFor_, Artshell, and the MAC Milano Art Community. A call for proposals for exhibitions and projects will be open from December 10, 2026, to February 26, 2027.
