Fontaines D. C. announces new album featuring Rosalía

Irish band Fontaines D. C. has revealed the tracklist for their upcoming fifth studio album, ‘Dopamine Chamber’, scheduled for release on October 16 via XL Recordings. The announcement features a significant milestone for the group: a collaboration with Spanish artist Rosalía on the track ‘Where Is Gone?’. This marks the first time the band has included a guest feature on a studio album.

Produced by James Ford, the album is described by frontman Grian Chatten as a ‘dopamine chamber’ that explores darker, more synthetic sounds. The record aims to serve as a ‘catastrophic warning’, reflecting themes of automation, environmental decay, and political violence. Chatten noted that while their previous album, ‘Romance’, felt partially corrupted by automation, ‘Dopamine Chamber’ leans further into that sense of corruption.

The 11-track album includes the previously released single ‘Marianne’. Following the release, the band is set to embark on various tours, with major outdoor and stadium shows planned for 2027 in locations including Ireland, the UK, and Germany.
