Fontaines D. C. debuts new song ‘Happy For You’ at Leeds Festival

Irish post-punk band Fontaines D. C. debuted a new, unreleased song titled ‘Happy For You’ during their performance at the Leeds Festival. The track serves as a preview for their upcoming fifth studio album, titled ‘Dopamine Chamber’, which is scheduled for release in October.

Produced by James Ford, the new album is described by lead singer Grian Chatten as an experimental exploration of emotional release amidst technological dominance, political tension, and environmental decline. ‘Happy For You’ is characterized as a wistful song about the end of a relationship. It follows previous teasers such as ‘Marianne’ and ‘Six Shot Morning’.
